Wolfgang Petersen's 'Das Boot' is a claustrophobical masterpiece about life on a submarine during WWII. Few movies are as tense and gritty as this 1982 war/drama film.
Klaus Doldinger supplied a soundtrack which takes it's listeners right back into the U-boat. We immediately remember the terror , filth and desperation.

'Sarabande' is a marvellous, legendary piece, created by genius composer, Georg Friedrich Händel.

The flute is catchy, the melody extremely positive and 'uplifting'. Well worth a listen.

Unsurprisingly, the breathtaking visuals are more than matched with Ennio Morricone's masterful soundtrack. Sit back and enjoy this classic theme, with a De Niro-like smirk and a head full of wonderful movie memories.

A sad and haunting soundtrack, to cover a tragic Spielberg story. Few films have managed to sketch a more realistic vision of the second World War and all it's horrors.

Brian De Palma's 'The Untouchables' is a stylish crime/drama film from the late eighties. A beautiful piece of cinema, made by a director in great form.
Morricone, as always, delivers with some fantastic themes. 'Death Theme' being a personal favourite, it's sad undertone gets me every time.

Arguably Roman Polanski's best work, this dark detective story is a must-see for any movie buff. Obviously, Jerry Goldsmith's score is worth a listen as well.
'Love Theme' is a romantic, dreamy track. It transports you back in time as it were, back to the good old days. Enjoy.

'Blade Runner' is still Ridley Scott's one defining masterpiece, not only because the breathtaking visuals but also because of Vangelis' stunning score.
This dark melodic combination of classic composition and futuristic synthesizers was a landmark for both the Greek composer himself, and film music in general.
Who ever knew sci-fi and film noir could mix this well?

Perhaps the greatest Western ever filmed, this epic masterpiece by none other than Sergio Leone is supported by a wonderfully composed Ennio Morricone soundtrack.
The music from 'Jill's America' embodies the romanticized fantasies of the old American West. Fantasies of a moviegenre which was revived by Leone's successful spaghetti-influence.
